Step 1: Assess
We’ll begin by taking a look at what you are already doing and what you’ve tried so far: your website, your email newsletter, your social media, and any other growth and sales strategies. We’ll help you assess what’s working, what’s not (and why!), what to keep, and what to leave behind. This process liberates and empowers you to make room for new pathways outside of social media. (YAY, FREEDOM!)
Step 2: Clarify
Before you decide which alternatives to social media will work for you, we’ll help you clarify your ideal reader and identify what you want to say to her. Then, we’ll help you determine your writing goals for the next year so that you can choose alternative pathways to reach your reader and support those goals. (This is where it gets exciting.)
Step 3: Create
Next, we will help you brainstorm the best ways to reach your reader and help you create an enticing free resource (your lead magnet) and a flagship product or service (your core offering), so that you can grow your email list and generate income. (Yes, it’s possible!)
Step 4: Explore
Now you’re ready to explore the ten alternative pathways to social media! You’ll spend three weeks learning what they are, how they work, who they work best for, and who should avoid them. You will see how they fit together and support your writing goals through The Growth Matrix (sounds very Sci-Fi, no?) and you’ll assess if these pathways will work for you, your goals, and your reader. Best of all, we will guide you through the first steps to pursue your desired pathways. (No more piecing together tutorials.)
Step 5: Implement
Finally, it all comes together when you review and summarize what you learned throughout The Course so that we can send you off with a personalized, 90-day plan. We’ll strive to incorporate all of your goals, passions, and alternate pathways into actionable steps with realistic deadlines, so you’ll have a clear plan for Writing Off Social for good! (Not to brag, but creating these plans is our super power and one of our favorite features of The Course!)
